Introduce yourself here!

As we have an influx of new members I thought I'd set this up as a friendly way of getting to know each other. Allow me to commence.

My name's James, but on Twitter and Xbox Live I go by . I'm 26, I live in the UK and I'm the News Editor here which means you'll see my name a lot and might already be familiar with me. If so, hello!

I've had a 360 for nearly two years now, and I used to have a Halo 3 obsession that's now cooled down. I loved me some Borderlands for a long time too, but had to give it up sad Nowadays when I get chance to play some proper games in between all the fitness titles I'm usually on Virtua Fighter 5, kicking tail with my invincible Sarah.

Over to you - tell us a little bit about yourself!

Re: Introduce yourself here!

Hi Guys & Gals.

I'm DRAV3N UK (xbox gamertag) or (Twitter). I converted to Xbox about 4 years ago after playing way too much Socom on PS2 and being encouraged that the online gaming experience was more exciting and advanced on Xbox. I've never looked back.

Favourite games have been all Gears of War titles, Batman Arkham Asylum, finally a Batman title worthy of the DC hero. I love Rainbow 6 and want another one, Splinter Cell Conviction radically improved an already superb series of games. Assassins Creed is brilliant and COD/MW2 are frustrating, annoying & fun all at once!

I am obsessed by Achievements - the best and worst addition to gaming smile

I love Metal \m/

See you online.

Re: Introduce yourself here!

Hi guys.
I'm kobotch, Japanese, live in Tokyo. I got Kinect a few days ago. Kinect is awesome system. I play Kinect Adventure with my 2 daughters. Kinect photoshots make us laugh, really cool!!
As you might know, Japanese houses are small, my room is "4 jou han" in Japanese, 9 sq meters or so, we cannot play 2-players game in my room. But our living room is big enough to play 2-players.
In Japan, Xbox360 is not so popular, only core gamers like it. Kinect is in the same situation. I hope much more Japanese people know Kinect. If they try Kinect once, they will love it, i believe.

Thanks for reading, I'm on the way of learning English, so maybe there is some mistakes above, I wish to hear your correction if you like.

See you!!

I am Ravage, better known as Ravage. wink
I am interested in Kinect, but am not quite interested enough to buy one. Not really into fitness games and the like when I already have a Wii.

Gamertag is ShockedWalnut. I would love to play some Bad Company 2 with some guys (once I get my copy back) and blow some stuff up! big_smile

Also, Kobotch, your English is pretty good; just a few grammatical errors and such, but it is easy to understand what you mean. Nothing really major that is worth pointing out really. I will leave that for someone who is better at grammar than I am. I deal with math, not language.

Re: Introduce yourself here!

Welcome to the site, Kobotch! Your English is very good (way better than my Japanese!) so don't worry about being misunderstood, you'll be great big_smile

Welcome DRAV3N_UK too! Great taste in gaming - how good is Batman: Arkham Asylum? Splinter Cell: Conviction was ace as well, not my cup of tea at all but really smartly done.

Thanks for joining big_smile

Hello everybody,

My name is Daniel I go by o0 HERO 0o on Live and o0HERO0o on Twitter, follow or send a friend request if you like. I purchased the Kinect when it came out and I am truly happy with that purchase. The sensor is pretty awesome and the potential is CRAZY! I am really happy to see sites like this one dedicated to Kinect popping up online. There are several already but this one honestly seems the most polished. Nice job Devs and keep up the great work, thanks for your time everybody.

Re: Introduce yourself here!

Hi everybody,

I'm the Artificial Idiot, hailing from the UK. I've had my Xbox 360 4 years now, and in that time have only had to send it back once. wink But had an Xbox for a number of years before that. I'm mostly into RPGs and quirky games where you run around collecting things and generally cause carnage... For lack of a better description. Been enjoying Fable 3 a whole lot recently, and in the past have really enjoyed both Mass Effect's (big fan of Bioware in general smile), Bioshock, Lego Batman, Saints Row 2 and I had a massive soft spot for Prey when I first picked my 360 up.

Picked up the Kinect on day of launch here because it looked like a bucket load of fun and frankly I could do with losing some weight, and getting a work out while having fun at the same time sounded ideal. Only delved into Kinect Adventures so far, but am really enjoying the system and seeing great potential for it in the future! Am looking to get more games for it soon, and am so glad I've found this site now so I can keep an ear to the ground on any new developments and what's coming out.

My bro has an xbox but doesn't play it much because, well I don't really know. He asked for a new one and its kind of obvious he's getting it and Kinect for Christmas. Can't wait to try it out!

Re: Introduce yourself here!

Wassup! I'm Alden from the US (Hawaii specifically). I actually never intended on getting XBox 360 (we never had the first one, only a Dreamcast, PS2, and Gamecube) but then the Kinect was announced and I knew I had to had one when Dance Central previewed :3. But unlike my brother (who bought the PS3) or my dad (who bought the Wii), I couldn't easily afford an XBox 360 with Kinect bundle so I'm still paying off that bill XD

Anyways, I LOVE the Kinect and I would play it more if I didn't have to reorganize the living room whenever I wanted to play and if I wasn't so pooped from work each day, haha. So far I have Dance Central, DanceMasters, and Sonic Free Riders (I gave my Kinect Adventures to my dad since he's the ONLY one who plays it).

My gamertag is AB88INChs4L

Re: Introduce yourself here!

After playing a friends Xbox 360 for a week and then playing the Kinect Adventures for a week in a electronics store I decided to purchase one. I've been very happy with the purchase. My Kinect bundle came with Motion Sports and Zumba Fitness, both titles I found very lacking. I'm very much enjoying Kinect Adventures, and I also purchased Kinectimals. I've played the demo for Dance Central and would love to get that next. I also have some non-Kinect games, and am currently playing a lot of Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts. I haven't connected my Xbox to LIVE as we I cannot get a dedicated internet line in my current living quarters. It's a real shame too - as I'm sure I'd be buying a heck of a lot of LIVE Arcade games. I decided to join the website as I'm really getting into Kinect and want to know about any new games that are coming for it. Child Of Eden looks amazing.

Re: Introduce yourself here!

Hello, I just got my Kinect. I got it for $100 from my isp, which is $50 less then I could find anywhere else. Then I grabbed eas sports active 2 for $60 and your shape for $40. I think I'm doing pretty good so far as none of it is used stuff. I have only had a  chance to play adventures so far but it's pretty fun. I'm a little sore right now so I don't want to get into the others yet (from snowboarding, not from kinect). I hadn't ever tried kinect before purchasing it, pretty impressive. I'm also looking to pick up dance central (though I can't dance, hopefully it will teach me), biggest loser, and maybe kinect sports. Hopefully some more games will come out soon with more options. I've had 360 since Halo 2, I got the halo 2 console. It just red ringed a few months back so they sent me another halo console. Hopefully it will hold out. I almost cancelled xbox live and sold the console, but held onto it for using netflix. Then came along the deal on kinect from the isp. I don't really play any traditional console games anymore. Steam kind of stole me away. I couldn't even really get into halo 3 or reach. I lost interest after 2. Steam is great though, top game picks would be arkham asylum, mirrors edge, bioshock, bordelans, portal, and left 4 dead (1/2).

Howay everyone,
My name's Ken. I'm from the UK, and also run a Kinect site at http://www.kinectronic.com

My favourite Kinect game at the moment still has to be Kinect Sports. I can't wait for E3, and since my site doesn't have a forum, I've decided to set up camp here. smile

Re: Introduce yourself here!

So I guess I'm no longer a troll, as I got another 360 today, but I'm a write News/Reviews writer for Movemodo and also a Reviewer for NintendoLife.

I mainly stick with PS3 as my main console because many of my friends and family have it and we can play online together. I LOVE Indy Gaming, and I have a deep passion for the gaming industry in general. I play ALL the consoles and lately have been found hiding out with my 3DS any chance I can get.

I will be playing Live Arcade catch-up for a few months and looking forward to it, and started it off right tonight with the fantastic Limbo!

Add me up, my Gamertag is *SlappyBoy82*  big_smile
